Traffic Calming Design on Augusta Road, San Luis Obispo, CA

Augusta Road had the width of a four-lane road which was transformed into two lanes with a wide median and an elevated crosswalk. This solution was designed by Jud Consultants and built near the Sinsheimer School (800 students). Traffic slowed down considerably and safety for all modes of mobility was improved. With elevated crosswalks, drainage needs special consideration.
