Transportation and Mobility Planning for New Town "Valle San Pedro" near Tijuana, Mexico for URBI Corporation

The new town will hold 600,000 people and include a university, hospital, and other amenities. The project will reduce family transportation costs by being a transit efficient and walkable community with retail, jobs, public institutions and government offices all close to housing. A Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) system is planned. Eugene Jud is a consultant to the developer together with Professor William Siembieda, Chair of Cal Poly City and Regional Planning Department in San Luis Obispo. Both were present when the project was shown to the Mexican President, Felipe Calderon in 2007. Construction started in 2007.
